This best of Rome tour is a relaxing stroll of the historical centre of Rome where we’ll see the Pantheon, Spanish square, Trevi Fountain, painting of Caravaggio and Navona Square.
Come with me and discover the historical city-centre of Rome filled with small and big piazzas. Discover the magic stories behind them and experience the unique atmosphere of the Roman Holiday. We’ll be exactly where Gregory Peck e Audrey Hepburn were running with a Vespa. Come to see the world famous monuments like the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. You’ll listen to my fascinating tales about how come that its dome is still standing. I’ll take you through the most scenography narrow roads of Rome, where famous film directors made their cult movies. I can’t guarantee you the dip into the Trevi Fountain with Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg, but I can definitely immerse you in the atmosphere of the world’s most “cinegenic” piazza of Rome. Then moving on until we arrive at the dramatic colouring of the paintings of Caravaggio and Piazza Navona, part of the visit too.
Best of Rome tour: details
You don’t need to buy any admission tickets for this tour. This best of Rome tour lasts 3 hours. It is a walking tour, totally outdoor, so remember to wear comfortable shoes. In fact, we are going to walk for 2 km/ 1.2 ml, upon cobblestones streets and stand for the most of time. 1 short stops to rest and 1 toilet break only are possible during this visit. A dress code must be respected to get into the church where the painting of Caravaggio are guarded. Take a hat and a bottle of water with you in summertime. We may refill them at the public fountains at our disposal.

Abbiamo visitato Colosseo e Foro Romano con la famiglia ed una amica danese. La visita è stata molto ben fatta, con spiegazioni dettagliate ma mai noiose che hanno trasmesso un senso di competenza e di grande passione. La commozione di Annalisa nel leggere alcuni passi di Marziale sull’arena del Colosseo ci ha fatto capire quanto ami la storia di questi luoghi e la sua professione. Si rimane facilmente affascinati dai monumenti e dalle rovine di Roma ma avere qualcuno che aiuta a leggerli e capirli, al di là degli stereotipi e delle semplificazioni che molti di noi hanno in mente, fa la differenza. Assolutamente consigliata.
