How to book the tickets online

Colosseum Tickets

The on line reservation of the Colosseum tickets is not compulsory. It is necessary, infact, if you want to skip the line in the sun to buy them there. The only line you can never skip, is the one for security controls. Such controls are mandatory to prevent ill-disposed to enter dangerous objects in the Colosseum. To this proposal, remember that you cannot introduce knives of any kind, box cutter or sharp objects into the Colosseum. Moreover,there is no checkroom outside the colosseum to leave them.

Colosseum Tickets: rules of booking

You can buy entrance tickets on line only 30 days in advance and you can do it for a precise day and time, and for maximum 13 people. If you buy reduced tickets for children, remember to take their IDs the day of the visit.

The Colosseum Tickets entitles you to visit the all archeological site, so they includ the Colosseum – ground floor and 1 ring only – the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Tickets booked, but not used, cannot be refund.

The Colosseum and the all archeological area are always open except for:

  • January the 1st
  • December the 25th.

Colosseum Tickets: prices

The Colosseum Full Price Tickets cost 16,00 € plus 2 € of reservation fee and they are for people older than 25.

The reduced ticket is for students between 18 and 25 years old. It costs 2 € plus 2 € of reservation fee. In this case, don’t forget to take your Student Card with you the day of the visit.

The free tickets is for children under 18 years old. Don’t forget to book it for them even if you’ll not be charged. Everyone infact, must have a ticket for insurance reasons.

Don’t forget to take their IDs with you the day of the visit. Tickets and childre Ids will be controlled at the entrance.

How to book

  • Chose the day of the visit. The green one only are open, the white one are not available yet, the red one already fully booked.
  • Choose the time on the right side
  • In the next new page, choose the different tickets:
    – Full tickets for adults 18€
    – Reduced tickets 4€ for students
    – Reduced tickets 0€ for children under 18
  • Add to chart and check out
  • Next step is to enter some information within the email address. It is the address where the system will send you the tickets, as soon as the payment will be completed.

That e-mail has a lot of information, but what is really important are the attached tickets with a bar code on top right side. They must be shown at the entrance to skip the line with the documents of children or students. So, print them or save them into your phone. Don’t forget it.

How to book the Vatican Tickets

The on line reservation of the Vatican Museums Tickets is not compulsory. It is necessary if you don’t want to sand in a line for hours at the entrance to buy them there. The only line you can never skip, is the one for security controls. Such controls are mandatory to prevent ill-disposed to enter in the Vatican dangerous objects. To this proposal, remember that you cannot introduce knives of any kind, box cutter or sharp objects introduced into the museums. Moreover, you cannot enter with big umbrellas, backpacks or large bags. You have to leave them at the free checkroom at the entrance.

Vatican Museums Tickets: rules of booking

You can buy entrance tickets on line only 60 days in advance and you can do it for a precise day and time, and for maximum 10 people. If you buy reduced tickets for children, remember to take their documents the day of the visit.

The Vatican Museums Tickets entitles you to visit all the 29 collections of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel. If the short-cut is open, you can also join St. Peter Basilica from there, and skip the line upon St. Peter’s Square. But this is possible only if you are accompanied by a tour guide and that passage is open. Otherwise, you can enter the Basilica, using the main entrance. Tickets booked, but not used, cannot be refund.

Vatican Museums Tickets: prices

The Vatican Museums Full Price Tickets cost 17,00 € plus 4 € of reservation fee and they are for people older than 18.

The reduced ticket – for children between 6 and 18 years – cost 8 € plus 4 € of reservation fee. Don’t forget to take their IDs with you the day of the visit.

Children under 6 years old are totally free.

Students under 26 years old, can also purchase a reduced ticket. In this case, don’t forget to take your Student Card with you the day of the visit.

Before entering the Museums infect, we have to proceed to the tickets window to collect out tickets and show IDs.

Vatican Museums: closures

The museums are closed all Sundays except for the last Sunday of each month when they are open and free. For that occasion, is not possible to make any reservations, so you have to stand in the line.

The Vatican Museums observe all the vacations of the Vatican State calendar, such as:

  • January the 1st and 6th
  • February the 11th
  • March the 19th
  • Ester and Easter Monday
  • May the 1st
  • June the 29th
  • August the 14th and the 15th
  • November the 1st
  • December the 8th, the 25th and the 26th
  • December the 24th and 31st, they close at 12:00.

To enter the Vatican Museums is also essential to wear a decent clothing. You must have your shoulders, belly and knees covered. Especially in hot season, don’t forget to take a scarf with you, just in case.

According to their needs, the Vatican Museums can close certain rooms or passages even during normal opening hours. Moreover, they are not obliged to inform visitors, nor tour guides about these changes. Who writers cannot be responsible for any changes of the program due to this, however rare, inconvenient.

  • Select the tickets for participants to the visit
  • Full Price tickets for adults and reduced tickets for the others. Children under 6 years old don’t need any ticket.
  • Select the time for the visit and proceed
  • Next step is to enter all names of participants with an email address. It is the address where the system will send you the reservation, as soon as the payment will be completed.
